<p style="text-align: left;">Public Awareness Campaign For Disaster  Risk Reduction, Response Action &amp; Early Warning  In Maldives</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><strong>INTRODUCTION</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">The objective was to design a campaign to enable the population of Maldives to be informed, knowledgeable, and aware of the hazards they face and vulnerabilities that exists within their own community, to enable them to utilize resources, which are accessible to them, to prepare, respond and recover from natural disasters, personally and as a community. Initially research was conducted in an attempt to explore people’s current attitudes and perception towards disaster risk, within a regional context, as well to identify the communication gaps that exist between scientific fact &amp; behavioral best practice. In conjunction with Secondary research which helped us identify avenues to rejuvenate locally embedded knowledge systems and capacities, to mitigate, respond &amp; recover from natural disasters in the Maldives, marketing plan was designed to alleviate these communication gaps as well as enable the public to actively participate in every aspect of disaster management</p>

To develop a new visual communication concept for Amaan Spa, incorporating its core values, which is distinctively unique and identifiable.</p>
<p><strong>Aim</strong><br />
To show that the original logo/ name has a unique identity of its own. To actually show in the communication mediums how the logo was derived. ‘I have tried to give meaning to the logo, using, Amaans Core values, (peace, harmony, balance and wellbeing). I wanted to show how, the integration between these four values form the distinctive identity of Amaan.” This “visual” will be used in all of the new Amaan Spa communication mediums, i.e Websites, CD-ROMs, Leaflets, Menu etc. This would mean that you will have a consistent visual communication message which is highly distinctive and unique. The use of “Maldives, Sri Lanka&#8221; below Amaan Spa Logo will enable the brand to be seen as growing &amp; innovating.</p>

The visual for each month will be taken from one section of the table, which will incorporate within its composition, the character of the month, with a service Cyprea offers. Astrological signs, internationally recognized dates, e.g. Aids day, and public holidays will be utilized to build a character for each month, which can then be depicted as an everyday office object, in graphic form. Every object within the</p>
<p>composition will have an integral meaning either to Cyprea’s services or to that particular month. Special dates will be highlighted which has a special affiliation to what Cyprea brand image is trying to convey. For example we will highlight world aids day, and international day of peace, which can then transpire to the whole image of Cyprea, as a warmhearted and<br />
caring company. This will also enable the calendar to be unique and differentiated from other corporate calendars. Fullmoon and first day Hijri dates will also be highlighted to give the foreign clients a sense of our culture and customs. Specifically for the month of Ramadan, the sunset times will be detailed.</p>
