SAARC SLOGAN

The main aspect which would enable the summit to have a distinctively unique identity is the fact that it is being held in the Maldives, which is going through major economical and developmental transition, based on 5 key pledges of the present government, the main backbone of which is the decentralisation of the governement bodies and the nationwide transport system. The idea is to make this particular aspect of the “connection”, relevent more broadly within the objective and vision of SAARC. The Summit hence act as a point of convergence of connection, i.e. help build bridges symbolically aswell as practically between cultures, economies, religion, and geographies.
